As with the skies, our grass library has been pre-defined, with the correct colour temperature, brightness and saturation applied to maintain a natural green colour without looking fake.
GRASS OPTIONS
Patching & Greening are included in the price of image production, but if the work required to fix the grass is not achievable by simply Patching & Greening, Grass Replacement may be necessary.
We have defined two levels to try to make it easier for members to understand when Patching & Greening is necessary and when we will require Grass Replacement.
Level 1

Should be easy to identify where the grass area is, and the grass is already in good condition.

There are a few patches of dried Grass or small patches of dirt.

The grass will be done so that the area is consistently green throughout the grass.

The grass is patchy in some areas and not in great condition.

The grass should be done so it is an improvement from the original and only if easy to fix.

The garden area has straight lines and is easy to mask out, grass is not overgrown or spilling over the path (no reconstruction needed).
In some cases, if the patch of dirt is too large and especially time-consuming, the image will fall into Level 2. Grass Replacement will always be charged as Standard Retouching, but will not be applied automatically. If you require the grass to be replaced, please note this in the brief when Uploading.
Level 2

Most areas are large patches of dirt, gravel, leaves, construction sites.

The garden area is large with many elements and objects to select and mask.

The garden borders are difficult to select and mask, or the grass is overgrown with some reconstruction of the path needed.

These samples will not be automatically processed and will always need the photographers' instructions to do so.
Grass For Drones
If you would like grass included on a DRONE image, you can request this for vacant blocks by requesting "Green Grass for the vacant land".
